A Staycation at the Made Hotel

A Staycation at the Made Hotel

After what’s felt like the past five years of lockdown, essential work, and general pandemic life, I was starting to feel a little stir crazy and restless. So, I decided to do a one-night staycation at the Made Hotel. Although brief, it was a much needed opportunity to relax, recharge, and bask in the splendor of commercial air conditioning.

What I liked:

  • Being placed on the 17th floor, I couldn’t hear any street noises or traffic, just the gentle hum of the AC. It was incredibly relaxing and felt as though a mini isolation chamber.

  • Although not that big, the hotel packs in quite a few varied lounge spaces, perfect for reading, drinking coffee, sipping wine.

  • Whether visiting locally or from afar, the location is great. It’s right in the middle of many restaurants and points of interest and is close to most trains. Although I wasn’t exactly hitting up the sights, simply eating a take out spread in a bed not my own always feels like the height of luxury to me.

Something I wanted:

  • USB charging ports in the room!
