Zurich in Photos

What I remember about Zurich:

• It is obscenely expensive.

• While I was there, there was an ongoing, citywide arts festival, and I somehow managed to not find a single exhibition - while actively looking for them on a map. (To be fair, I did have to navigate via memoed addresses and section by section screenshots of Google maps that I took on the rare occasion that I had free wifi.)

• Getting into my Airbnb was one of my worst travel ordeals. This was in the days before I had a smart phone, and before global data plans or sim cards were mainstream. I was also new to Airbnb, so I didn’t know that my hosts had put the instructions on how to get the keys in their digital welcome guide. I have blacked out how I figured out how to get in the building, but I can vividly remember standing in the dark with all my luggage - in the pouring rain - and unsuccessfully trying to bum off of anyone’s Wifi.
