High Tea at the Connaught

The first time I went to London, I knew that I wanted to try high tea. And not just any, but an all out, all the pomp my heart could desire high tea. After reviewing everything available in the city, I decided on the Connaught. Intimidatingly fancy, it nevertheless was the grand, quintessentially-English experience that I'd wanted.

Once you are done with the sandwiches, the tray is removed, and fresh scones with clotted cream and jam are brought out. You are allowed to pick from a small list of jam flavors. My choices were strawberry and mango.

At the very end, more cakes are brought out. Unfortunately, I was bursting full at this point, and only vaguely remember that at least one of these was in part rose flavored?
