Reykjavik in Photos

Reykjavik is not a very large city, and maybe that's why I didn't take as many photos as I thought that I did. Well, that and - I spent quite a bit of time frantically running around, looking for SD cards after having an issue with the ones that I brought. You know how if you forget to bring something on a trip, you can almost always buy it at your destination? Well, if there's any advice I can give for traveling to Reykjavik, it is: DO NOT FORGET ANYTHING. Holy $#!& is Iceland expensive!* The first of two SD cards that I bought I could have easily gotten from Amazon for about 7-10$, but I paid 90$ each in Reykjavik. Apparently, having to import most goods from across an ocean means slightly higher prices.

*As far as food goes (in restaurants, not grocery stores), I would actually say that prices are pretty reasonable and comparable to those in most large, US cities. Some might say that it's more understandable for stiff prices to exist in a place like NYC, but considering that Iceland is an unsuitable environment to grow more than a couple trees, grass, and rhubarb, I don't personally find the restaurant prices a cause for complaint.

Pictured below are photos from the top of the Hallgrímskirkja church and street art from around the city. There is actually quite a bit of street art all around. I didn't even specifically look for any of it; all the ones pictures I just happened to stumble upon.

Is it just me, or does Reykjavik from above kind of look like a miniature model town?
