Traveling to a foreign city or at least any city that you are not super familiar, it with can be challenging to learn the food culture or who's who of that city. I first heard about David Toutain from a friend living in Paris, but what got me really excited was seeing that he was slated to cook a pop up dinner with Dominque Crenn for the Omnivore World Tour. I adore Dominique Crenn and had at the time recently ate at Atelier Crenn in San Francisco. Although not familiar with David Toutain, seeing the pairing, I knew that this was a restaurant that I had to try. And the meal? It was delicious, creative, and gorgeous - everything I thought it would be.
